On Circumstances

Created for the High Desert Test Sites 5 exhibition curated by Andrea Zittel and Lisa Anne Auerbach, in Joshua Tree, California.

Circumstances consisted of six large boulders that I tunneled under and tied a black strand of yarn around, defining the circumference. The boulders were arrayed over a two-acre site on Hidden Paradise Road outside the town of Joshua Tree.  The brochure below was available in town and at the entrance to the site itself.
